My husband and I recently moved into our apartment and found that there was no overhead lighting in either the master or guest room. Which prompted us to buy two of these. Installation was a little more difficult than expected but they give off enough light. In combination with our bedroom lamps, there is enough light in the rooms! (Photo without our optional lamps). The only thing I would like to say is don't place two of them too close together! Our guest room is directly across from ours (say 30-40 feet apart) and every time the remote is used in one room it turns them both on. Little did we know that the remote is rated for a distance of up to 80 feet. It can be annoying when guests arrive but for now we can live with that.
