Bought expecting to wear under a bike helmet when riding in cooler Northern California this Fall/Winter. Haven't worn it this way yet (so can't comment on how effective it is in cold weather / up to what temps it provides warmth) but found it useful to wear after a workout to wick sweat when You are chilly or just want some extra warmth on your head (e.g. early in the morning before the temperature warms up as the day progresses). Very compact when not in use, so it can easily be put in a trouser pocket, jacket pocket or the back of a cycling jersey. Comfortable, elastic material, pleasant touch. The hat covers the ears, that's normal, but it would be nice if they also made a similar hat from a similar material that doesn't cover the ears (in cool weather on the ears under the helmet and not on the ears). if I just want something to wick sweat under the helmet to keep the sweat out of my eyes etc.). I not only wear it on my head, but also to wipe my sunglasses when they fog up while driving.
