These lights were fitted to an enclosed snowmobile trailer I just purchased. It already had headlights powered by the truck's wiring harness, but I wanted the headlights to be able to run on their own isolated power supply without the truck running. I will connect them to a small 12 volt battery that is permanently installed. As a test I used my ice fishing battery from my Vexilar flasher. I couldn't be happier with these lights. The trailer was pitch dark with no lights. I am very impressed! I purchased the American Technology Components "Single On/Off Switch SPST with Faceplate, 12V, for RV, Trailer, Camper" from Revain for lighting control.
