My wife and I bought this radio for our autistic son. Our boy doesn't care much about real sound quality, but he likes to listen to the radio at night when he sleeps. Well we already have experience with this brand as this radio replaces a radio manufactured by the same company and has had this radio for a long period of time. His old radio didn't show the clock anymore, and I don't think he could see information about the different channels either. What's more, his previous radio had trouble transmitting channels clearly due to the antenna, which was made from a single, very thin wire. So this new radio, sitting in the flower box in his room, works much better and his favorite stations sound clear and free of constant interference. It's very light and easy to control how you want it to be and to be honest I really didn't know what it was going to sound like at the time of unboxing. It's by no means an expensive piece of audio, but it actually sounds better than its old radio. He is very happy with his new radio and that is the most important thing for us.
