We live in the Midwest. Winters are harsh, and if you don't want to spend a fortune on heating, dress warmly. My teenage son is a big gamer and sits at his desk complaining that he's cold (probably because he's just sitting). I bought this for his birthday with the expectation that he probably wouldn't like it and I would inherit it from him (it was a win-win for me anyway). To my surprise, he loves it! He loves the fact that it wraps around and stays in place, unlike a blanket. He says he's very soft and wears a hood when it's very cold. He is an average height teenager with an empty seat. He likes the fact that he's warm when he's seated and can get up and move around without the blanket falling on the floor or the large, uncomfortable sleeves of his robe getting in the way of his game. The only problem is I have a daughter who saw how much he loves it and wants it himself. That means I have to buy 2 more - one for her and one for me. I think if mu appeals to 2 picky teenagers then it deserves a lot of credit.
