This is one of the sharpest 500mm F8 Reflex lenses I've ever used, aside from my Nikon 500mm F4 VR2 AF-S. It's fast and bright when focusing on the Nikon D3S and Nikon D300s. Its donut background gives me a different feel and approach in a more artistic way than what many pros call "dirty background". Optical telephoto lens. The focal length between the objects and the lens was very narrow. The contrast and maximum sharpness were stunning. Don't regret buying this gem that is no longer made by Nikon. the price can explode. Here I am sure that many professionals and hobbyists who have used this gem will agree with me in price and build quality (built like a tank). The best Mirror Reflex 500m F8 Nikon ever made in the late 80's.
