I wasn't sure if it was worth paying the asking money for this umbrella. It was a little pricey compared to some others. I was particularly interested in the SPF rating. I was diagnosed with lupus last year and found that UV exposure usually causes me hives and itching. I've been using it for a few months now and this umbrella is worth EVERY PENNY! This is excellent quality. You can tell it feels solid and slides smoothly when opening and closing. It has a button that you press to open. The description says that the difference under the umbrella is 15 degrees. Most of the time it's too wet to tell, but sometimes there's a noticeable difference. Today, for example, it was very pleasant to walk on the street and walk under it. The inside of the car was a different story, but the umbrella couldn't do anything about it. What I really like is that I don't have to worry about putting on sunscreen to going to the mailbox or taking out the trash.
