Beautiful brass head with a durable long handle

Brass hammers are meant to warp after use. It's a softer metal than steel, so you can use it to hit things you don't want to damage. Copper deforms instead of growing over the steel shaft you're hitting. I'm an industrial mechanic and I use this hammer to repair pumps, install and remove bearings and anything I need to move without damaging the finish. I've had it for almost a year now and use it every day. I've used the grinder a few times to get rid of the fungus that forms around the head after heavy use and I'd say this hammer has 3 or 4 years of daily use left. This is normal as brass tools wear out over time. In about 15 years of this work I have had 3 brass hammers and many more punches. This hammer has a longer handle than other brass hammers I've used, which is nice when you need to swing a little harder.

Pros
  • Laser engraved for safe handling
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
