I've read a lot of reviews about this fan and wondered if it's worth buying. But after using it for a few years I figured it might be that difficult to install. The fan is doing great in our kitchen. rustic fan finish. The light set is unique. Here's what you should know. Everyone has complained that there is not enough space to install the remote control device, there is not enough space to install it in the fan bracket. There isn't enough room unless you get longer junction box screws. let's say 1 1/2 to 1 5/8. they must be included in the junction box. Longer screws allow you to lower the bracket where the fan sits to make wiring easier so you don't pinch the wires when screwing the bracket to the junction box. it's a good attitude and a good fit. Wires you can carefully feed into the junction box by fully unscrewing the longer screws. I only use the remote at 5 to 10 feet. You can't expect it to work perfectly every time. Sometimes you have to double-click the buttons. But it works. If you use the remote control from a long distance, this can be a problem. but I always use different angles and different directions to make it work. The lights are wonderful, beautiful and bright in my small kitchen. I'm curious how long the remote will last. but I will write to the company and request a new one if necessary. Fan speed is great. I only used it on the first three speeds. my kitchen is small another thing - light clips. one approaches the other. Just take your time and you will really get it working. I don't see any problems with pens just because one fits the other. Would I buy this fan again? Yes I would. it is an impressive image of a rustic atmosphere.
