Great value for a fast heating kettle. The kettle is detachable from the power supply for easy pouring and cleaning. The lid is designed to stay in place and tilts in the middle on two small posts for opening and filling. This would make cleaning more difficult if mine had lasted long enough to require cleaning. Unfortunately, one of my support legs broke the lid on the second or third fill when I let go of the lid latch switch. I had not previously removed the cover or loaded the racks before the error occurred. It is not known if this is just an accident or a lack of materials and construction. Unfortunately, this made it almost impossible to use the lid to cover liquids or retain heat when boiling water. It was a good kettle, but it was let down by flaws that got in the way of the quirky design. Kiss, I always say!
