Review on Alpine CDE 9881 MP3 WMA Receiver by Bob Randles

This was in my car when I got it. never mind GOOD: sounds good, controls are simple and not a complicated confusing system. The mute button is BAD: A random read error occurs for some reason, which would be normal. But if it does, will it hold your drive hostage? maybe an hour or a few days. will not retrieve, skip or play anything. The only way out is to listen to the radio. Search the internet for this problem, you will see that it is common. no power button. If you want to turn it off quickly, you can't, you have to press and hold the SOURCE button for 3-5 seconds. quite annoying if you want quiet.
