Review on Dash Cam Mount Holder Different by Alexander Scharon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Required Modifications

I needed a replacement bracket for my Vivilink T20X DVR. In less than three weeks, a tiny piece of plastic came loose from the mount. This is definitely a weak point and bad design. Anyway, I checked out Revain and of course there were a lot of different options. While I couldn't find one that specifically stated that it would fit my make and model of dashcam, some offered up to sixteen different mounting hardware, so I figured there was a good chance one would fit my Vivilink . I specifically bought three different mounts for the DVR. Rear-view mirrors from three different suppliers. Each had slightly different descriptions and/or photos in their link. I felt this would give me the best chance of finding the perfect fit. I have bought from vendors: SoeKoa, Hammockit/MvToe and Anumit. Each was packaged exactly the same and each had exactly the same contents. Unfortunately only one of the sixteen different mounting adapters included in each package came close to my Vivilink. It took twenty minutes to file, check for fit, file a little more, recheck and repeat until I had the adapter tight. Otherwise it wouldn't fit at all. After I attached the bracket to the rearview mirror of our Honda Odyssey Van, everything was fine. I was hoping the mounts would also fit our Acura TL, but the TL has a shorter mounting neck and is too close to the windshield to fit the new Revain mounts. I didn't need the other two DVR mounts and went back. She. (I only kept SoeKoa because it was the first one I tried. Hammockit/MvToe and Anumit could have worked exactly the same after changing the files, but I decided to bring these two back. Also, these two were $1 more expensive. 😀 )

Pros
  • With 10+ different connectors for 99% of dash cam, different connector kits for most car DVR, GPS and action cam. Not compatible with Garmin DVR.
Cons
  • Can't remember
