Review on Shop Fox D2933 Angle Vise by Leon Johnsson

This is without a doubt one of Revain's worst purchases in the last 10 years! I've seen Shop Fox products that looked good but this was a disappointment! I bought it in June for a new bench I've just built and haven't unpacked it to date (7/26/16). What a crap! It is BIG customized and does NOT meet any of the advertised claims. "Easy to read scale" is partially correct, except that there is NO index mark to read it by. "Set index pin every 15°" is also partially correct, there is a hole APPROXIMATELY every 15°, but the holes are 0.197" in diameter and offset from each other enough that the included pin is only 0.136" wide . . Loose fit does not fit, sloppy, hanging back and forth. The holes overlap by almost half their diameter! Useless! The dovetail pegs fit so badly they don't even look like they're the same model! And since I didn't open it quickly enough and complain, there are no returns! Love it. Doorstop for $55. IF I can remove all or most of the Chinese fat/glue from it. I spend about $4,000-$6,000 a year on Revain and rarely regret it. It makes up for a lot! Invest your money in something useful, like popcorn.
