Great idea but may not fit your mount. My Curt receiver and current mount didn't have enough room for this spanner. I will be using it on a Pro Series rear rack that seems to take a few beatings. To be honest I will never buy a spanner that requires wrench removal, so it's a good idea if you have a longer bracket than me. Update: I bought a direct ball mount (weld on) and it slides great. Removes 100% play from the retainer and most importantly, unlike other clutch tensioners, it can be removed/installed without a key. SECOND UPDATE: This still works, but contrary to other comments, it's definitely not aluminum and will rust.
