I read the reviews on this vacuum to make sure it could go from hardwoods to carpets and handle pet hair. I have two German Shedders so the purpose of this purchase was to have a robot vacuum that could work and keep up with the hair and dirt that is constantly being pursued with two dogs and two cats in my home. I didn't expect it to be flawless, but I'm a little disappointed in its suction power. I suspect the problem is that the small bin fills up and affects suction long before it tells me it's full. But it is very easy to disassemble and clean the filters. My other issue is that it's not very smart when navigating. It takes off in one direction until it hits something and then turns around. It seems to rotate randomly and can get stuck in a smaller area for a while, so it works best on large open layouts, which isn't exactly what I have. He also has problems with my scratching post. I understand why it rolls down the bottom carpeted base of my scratching post, but when it hits part of the tree it can't turn away from it and get off the base. I have to save him. Not overly annoying, but not impressive either. Overall, I'm not disappointed with my purchase, but I don't think it will be as effective for me as I was hoping. It doesn't pick up a lot of dog hair and definitely can't pick up loose toy fluff. I'll try to empty the bin more often and maybe that way it will adequately deal with general dust and dirt.
