I cut the cake into 14 pieces but hand marked which was awful. The slices will end up being different sizes, or I'll end up starting over before making my first cut. I found it and fell in love immediately. This will mark the cake and cuts will then not be a problem. There are a few instances where the cake topping won't allow this, but that's a pretty limited scenario. The pies are smaller than a marker but pretty easy to center. If I could change one thing it would be that the pieces that represent the cake go right in the middle. It would make the thing even easier to use.
