You get what you pay for but I think I got more with this little bug. I have Xfinity and it works great for me. I replaced an older model I had for about 12 years so anything newer would be a big upgrade for me but it helps at a low price. It works. However, I think it was because I was a little impatient as I contacted them immediately when it didn't work out. I went to the manufacturer's website and followed all the steps in the book to get this thing working. Cox and I tried enabling this three times before deciding it wouldn't work. Maybe others work? I can't speak to working models and I don't usually post when a product is faulty, but since this is an 'updated' product I just wanted to throw my data in the cauldron.

Bought this instead of renting it for Xfinity and couldn't be happier. It's quick, easy to set up and I don't even have to think about it. zero regrets.

Well connected, firmware is fresh, signal is good, it hasn't turned itself off yet. A good easy replacement for a cable company modem if you want to use your own (better) router etc (it also means the cable company can't mess with your router!). I've used this with an Optimum cable, but it's probably compatible with most others - it's DOCSIS 3.0, not 3.1, and that's all I need.

A simple router. It works great with Xfinity. Just plug it into your cable, outlets, and router (or directly into your computer for the first time). It then communicates directly with the Comcast servers and quickly activates on their system.

Ordered an upgraded modem to work with Optimal Internet (Long Island). The technician came and installed without problems. Although not listed on the Optimum website, it works for the Optimum web (web only, no language). So far, so good. It feels a little hot but it works. I will update later.

This refurbished model replaced a brand new Netgear router in the box that was absolute junk. It didn't report any errors when I had it. while Netgear filled its log with alerts, warnings, and critical errors every day. I have received several refurbished products from Amazon and have had no problems with any of them. with a generous right of return. it's hard to go wrong with something like this. buy it even if it doesn't work. Pack it back and send it back and try another one.

Tired of renting your cable modem (telephone + internet). When I decided to give up my landline I no longer need a dual-use modem and I decided to make this purchase. I got a great deal (got a special $5 discount) and expected to get my money just 3-4 months in advance. about 20 minutes. And as an added bonus, my download speed has increased by about 10% - no change on download. I've always had good luck with refurbished products and would do it again anytime and save some money.
