Review on 🔄 Authentic Winix 115115 Filter A Replacement | C535, 5300-2, P300, 5300 Compatible by John Holliday

I ordered the Winix filter 115115 in May 2016 and it is an exact replacement for the original filter. Ordered mid-April 2017 and now they've turned into this cheap stuff that smells like plastic. It's also 1mm smaller on the sides and 1mm taller. As a result, air is sucked in at the sides and sags a bit because it is too high. The quality is comparable to cheap filters from China. You can run your finger across Surface 2 and see how much better the original filter was. I read that you can buy a filter similar to the original for about $100, but for that price I would buy a new one that comes with a much better filter. The original lasted me a year. I doubt it will last 6 months. Edit 6/14/2017: 2 months later and these filters still smell. What a rip off. If I can't find the original filter the next time I order, I won't buy another Winix device. It is sad that you have to give us cheap junk filters to buy your brand new air purifiers. I have had my original unit for about 3 years and have never had a problem ordering filters until this year. Now I'm stuck on 2 units that I probably won't use again.
