Review on Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 Art DC HSM Lens - Canon Compatible, Black (210101) by Agata Nowickq ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly as promised by the manufacturer, high quality.

Investing in a USB Dock is preferable to making the trip to the alignment service because it will save a substantial amount of time and lessen the amount of anxiety experienced. In addition to being able to specify corrections for the WIDE-TELE range of zoom positions, you can also set corrections for intermediate zoom locations as well as additional distances. It's beyond anything I could have dreamed up. After investing a couple of days to the project, you will be able to fit the glass with an incredible level of precision. Ordinary phase and LV combo AF both yield results that are quite comparable when used in conjunction with the 70D. LV is obviously superior in terms of precision and consistency, and in general, there are very few omissions to be found. After reading a few reviews, I became afraid that there would be a need to make different changes based on the distance. But, from the very beginning, everything in the store performed exceptionally well. Even under the most difficult of situations, there are occasionally tiny lapses in judgment. For example, shooting against a window on a bright day, when the main object occupies less than 10-15% of the frame, while it is barely illuminated by a dead and very yellow incandescent lamp. This results in a very flat and uninteresting photograph. However, in these kinds of environments, no lens will have a perfect feel because this is a demanding environment for any optics and AF system. Backlighting is a type of lighting. Backlighting is referred to as "backlighting." Imagine a pet that is of a single breed. To be more specific, in this fashion. It can be said that lamps and semitones are connected to one another in some fashion. It would appear that the plane of focus is a two-dimensional surface that is flat, rather than a three-dimensional surface that is spherical. I make no claims to scientific knowledge; all I have to contribute are only the perspectives that are uniquely mine. At the border of the frame, there is very little evidence of mechanical vignetting, and the blurry kruglyashi have only very slightly been cropped. Everything within a short distance of the center is of high quality. I didn't even see the onion rings, which are a distinguishing characteristic of practically every Sigma. It takes a very long time for nuts to begin to tighten before they can be used. At the very least, we have not yet seen them on levels 4, 5, and 6. 9 petals, after all. Beginning at that setting, the clarity is extremely outstanding. In version 2.0, there is now a greater contrast between the two. Despite this, there do not appear to be any problems with version 1.8 at this time. To put it another way, even when there is only a very small quantity of ambient brightness, the lens is not thrown off because this is its element. The penumbra was very even, and it cast very dark shadows. Even in locations where it would appear that there is no light at all, the lens is able to detect some light. The entirety of this does not end up devolving into a jumbled and chaotic mess. At 4.0, the sharpness has already begun to ring with a ringing sound. The operation of the motor is highly stealthy and incredibly swift. Nevertheless, if you utilize the microphone that is already integrated into the camera, it will be audible on the video that you record. In general, a trendy lens, for those folks who need it and who are aware of its benefits.

Pros
  • 1. The superior quality of the components that were used in the construction of the body. 2. The high quality of the craftsmanship and the fitting parts; the AF switch has a refined appearance, clicks with a satisfyingly high-pitched sound, and has a white line for better visibility. 3. rubberized zoom and focus rings that are comfortable to grip and provide a pleasant riding experience; 4. Weight: a reliable indicator of size, the weight of an object can be used to measure it. 5. A hood that is functional and aesthetically pleasing, and that features a corrugated surface on the interior, in addition to a "proper" lens cap; 6. Complete kit: Sigma traditionally includes a semi-rigid pouch with a zipper that can be attached to a belt. I have never actually used these cases in practice, but they are very nice, as I mentioned earlier in reference to the lens hood. 7. A motor that is obedient and remarkably silent; 8. Very accurate and assured AF, provided the carcass gets along with a particular specimen; mine was the only one in the shop, but it worked out perfectly for me; 9. incredibly razor sharp on the open, razor sharp to the extreme!; 10. despite the fact that it is a zoom, both the blur and the pattern are pleasing, and the nature of the distortion is not an unpleasant "correct" nature; 11. The Sigma USB Dock, which can be purchased for a reasonable price and enables the lens to be reassembled with a high degree of precision for a particular carcass; 12. Style: the style that is exactly dictated by logic and common sense, and not the style that the majority of people understand: The zoom mechanism is made in a single housing without any moving trunks, and when zooming and focusing, of course, the blocks move inside, which affects the weight distribution and, as a result, if you use a steadicam for video, there is an imbalance, but it is very insignificant. This gives the impression that the glass was designed by people who shoot for the same purpose. 13. Weight: The utilization of a compedium and/or a battery pack has already completely eliminated the imbalance; therefore, there is no requirement for any sort of reconfiguration to take place. It takes a substantially longer amount of time to repair zooms that have trunks in them.
Cons
  • At this point in time, there are simply glowing epithets; nevertheless, during the course of the procedure, there will inevitably be some that appear. Is there insufficient breadth to the zoom range? Yet, the average is 1.8 in all of these categories. Because of the poor dust and moisture protection offered by this lens, you should avoid going into wet and dusty environments, as well as heavy rain, if you intend to use it. Yet, I'm sorry to state that such shots for a price should, in any case and regardless of the potential risks to the apparatus, adequately cover such risks. Someone will inevitably bring up the weight, but I feel that maintaining a healthy balance between the camera and the battery pack makes it much simpler for me to operate. In light of the fact that Sigma provides this USB Dock, it would be beneficial to have some kind of memory bank that stores unique parameters for each carcass. On the other hand, Sigma may not provide any further USB Docks besides this one.
