The magnets are strong for holding a cabinet shut. The adhesive strips with foam core suck. I went through entire pack in two days I finally got feed up and used epoxy to hold them in place. If they had predrilled holes so you could choose how to attach them either with the strips or a screw they would be so much better( yes I cleaned and prepared the surface prior to attaching. I attached to wood the glue held to the wood and the magnet but separated from the foam. I used this on our under the counter trash can cabinet the dogs can open it so I figured I would Use the magnet to keep cabinet shut the active use of the door proved to much for adhesive strips)
