Review on Nite Ize NextGlo Patented Identifiers by Shakira Anderson

Low, low, low light for a long time.

I bought this to attach to my backpack and take with me in my luggage. In the dark on a hike or in a hotel room, I want my bags to have an indicator so I can find them easily. Pros: - I like durable plastic. It doesn't flex and seems strong enough to withstand normal travel/hiking. The included "S" carabiner has a locking mechanism so it's unlikely to fall out of my gear. Bad: - The glow reminds me of the toy I had as a kid. Fast charge, one minute of bright light, and then many, many minutes of low light. Here is the unit. It will have a faint glow for a long time, but the product's promotional images show a beautiful bright glow. I was hoping for some new technology that would make it shine brightly for a while. Whatever patented technology is being talked about on the marketing pages. Nothing to brag about - It can be good or bad depending on your taste. Soft yellow plastic. In other words, it looks old right away. Nothing shines in daylight. I personally would like it to be brighter, bolder and more brilliant. But that's my personal taste. The benefit of this muted yellow is that it pairs well with camping gear, which is usually already subdued. YMMV If you want to tag your bags so they can be found in the dark then this is a great choice. If you need a marker to follow another tourist, this is NOT a good choice.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
