I gave this 4 stars because the idea behind this product is great - secure the hitch in the receiver tube to keep it from rattling. This works great as long as there is enough room in your hitch receiver for proper alignment of the strut. This clamp WILL NOT WORK on a 2014 RAM with an OEM Class V hitch receiver. There is insufficient clearance between the underside of the hitch receiver and the safety chain brackets. The correct way to use this clip is a loop around the bottom of the receiver and a clip bar on top. This will hold the coupler against the BOTTOM of the receiver tube. With an OEM RAM hitch, this only works by attaching the strut loop to the top of the receiver tube and the clamp rod to the bottom. This will pull the coupler UP and hold it against the TOP of the downspout which will not work. Eventually it will loosen and the clamp will come loose. I've used this clamp twice on my RAM and both times it came loose. I am using the 2" version on my 1996 RAM 2500 and it works great as there is enough space to mount it as intended.
