Review on TestHelper 30 130Db Display Hanging Measuring by Richard Cuneo

So as many people say this is inconsistent or inaccurate I took both units out of the box this is one and a hand held which I bought together and did a test . So. In an absolutely quiet room, this device displayed an almost constant 44 decibels. the other read 30 decibels, which is usually the definition of a room with no noise. Therefore, when I made different sounds, both reacted together, and this device showed the same sensitivity as the other, so the response was instantaneous, but the readings from this device were consistently higher than the hand, by about 10 decibels total time for each sound , even when I spoke at a different volume, I clapped, sang, made different sounds and compared them. I don't know if you could call it a better name, but I pass. Here's what I found unsuitable for my purpose: 1. This device can ONLY be USB powered and NOT CHARGED, but it must be connected to some form of USB power source at all times. So. If you don't buy a long USB cable, you're doomed to use it right next to your computer or whatever. You can go crazy with the included 2-foot cable.2. The USB port where you connect the cable to this device is . Guess where? it's at the bottom. So I was in a situation where. the cable was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATEBTO THAT IT TO ANY WALL THAT IT CAN BE HAPPENED TO (and yes, it has four holes to hang it on the wall because I couldn't put the usb stand on the wall) so it doesn't sit upright unless They make a hole in your desk or place it in a stack, leaving room for cable entry. Very frustrating and annoying. How difficult would it really be for A. to supply a much longer cord. B. Remove the plug from the bottom hole and locate it on the side of the unit. and yes, it should be better calibrated from the factory. Otherwise it will be slim, very modern and small enough not to be unnecessary but big enough to show the numbers clearly. It looked beautiful. I love big numbers, but then again. There is no way to make it work for me with the accuracy I need. They need to fix it, it needs to be placed on a table, it needs to have a longer cord and ideally it should be something that can be charged and run for hours. without having to be on all the time.
