We took a rescue dog with us - he is a very sweet, affectionate child, but he has problems. One of those problems is that he completely breaks down when he sees another dog. We've trained a bit and he's a lot better than he used to be, but he still has breakdowns. We tried different options to supplement the training - calming chews that didn't work, a shock collar that didn't work either. I decided to try it and was expecting to send it back but it actually seems to work. We took him on our first flight and on the way home we met another dog across the street. He became hysterical, I pushed the button and he immediately stopped, bowed his head and assumed a posture of submission. After that we could immediately resume the walk and return home. True, that was the only time we used it, but so far I like it.
