Similar but different beast than TR1 Gold

I've had TR1 Gold for about 12 years and it has been very reliable. After getting a new boot about a year ago and transplanting my old TR1 to a new boot and T9.9 High Thrust Kicker. After a few months of watching and reading 40 Kicker installation guides, I decided to upgrade. What I like best is the wireless remote control and non-hydraulic steering. Seems to be working fine. The throttle actuator is much better and more accurate than TR1. But my kicker doesn't have a tiller, it has a rudder, which I turned off to allow the motor to turn more freely. I did it on a TR1 which I also had. So far my only complaints are that on standby on Kicker 40 the throttle drops to idle and you can't adjust the throttle unless it's on where I could adjust the throttle on the old TR1. in addition to starting and warming up. They could have included screws to attach the plate that holds the steering to the motor. I had to make several trips around town to find suitable ones. The design of the steering pivots would have been better if they were made with a ball joint. I'm a little skeptical about how it will hold up, but I hope it will last a few years. It would be nice if it showed the perceived engine speed but shared it with the user. Very expensive but if it lasts a few years I'll be happy, I know I got my money's worth with my TR1 Gold. I had to buy a GH 20 kit because I had already invested in another brand's GPS.
