*Updated after 1 month of use*Primarily, this plays music/podcasts from your PHONE (or audio player) ONLY. Denon acknowledges that it can't be used for TV sound or surround sound unless paired only with its Denon soundbar. No, not even if your receiver is a Denon. I can use HEOS to play music/podcasts from my phone on the receiver and Home 150 at the same time, but you cannot stream from the receiver to this speaker via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or HEOS. I originally bought this to get the sound from my TV in my kitchen while I'm cooking, which you can't do. So music and cooking. I think. If you're between Sonos and a whole-home wireless system from Denon, choose Sonos if you don't want to solve tricky puzzles or confuse your wife. The above issue and issues with the HEOS app are unforgivable. Sorry Denon. BUT. I recommend this speaker if you need a good little speaker for your kitchen, indoor porch or BBQ as a standalone unit. The sound is surprisingly good for its size and clear even at high volumes. Has great bass but can be too quiet for listening to voices (podcasts, audiobooks). If you like heavy bass tunes, you win. You can adjust the equalizer, but the previous statement still applies. Tricky bluetooth connection issues but better/faster WiFi. The Heos app needs updating or replacing - it's unintuitive, doesn't always work the first time, and if you have multiple wireless and wired connections, good luck. I'm reconfiguring and trying new apps to avoid HEOS as much as possible. If you're using a wired connection on your receiver and using it over Wi-Fi, you'll experience a slight audio lag. So if you're playing both at the same time, better make sure they're far enough apart so you can't hear echoes - it's terribly disorienting. Also, the installation was pretty easy, but the instruction manual is complete rubbish. I'm still not 100% sure how to use or program the quick select buttons.
