First. Make sure you have a perfectly clean screen, including around the grips. Before removing the backsheet, do a trial placement to find out how the handles will center in their holes. Second, it covers the entire screen area and around the buttons, including the thermal controls at the bottom. See image. It was pretty easy. Start at the side or corner and place it on the screen. It sticks to the screen by itself. If there is a bubble, you can gently lift and fold it back along the nearest edge until it releases the bubble, then let it fall back down. I had to do this a few times but all the bubbles worked. Then just press lightly from the center to the edges. I would give it 5 stars but the kit didn't come with anything to clean the screen before application or microfiber cloths to wipe it down. I just bought the car so I left the original film on the screen until I had time for it.
