Cheap and missing hardware - just do it yourself

I just had to go to the hardware store and build my own dog cart. I bought this to save a few bucks. I ended up spending even more money to replace the cheap hardware that came with it. The reel is plastic, and it's okay if your dog is 100 years old and so blind that he doesn't notice the squirrels who taunt him when he's out of reach. Spring is a joke. I replaced mine with a new one called "Portch Swing Spring". Two washers and two cable clamps were missing. The lead was included with mine but I now have two because I ordered one expecting it wasn't included as other reviewers have stated. Well, lesson learned, you get what you pay for. For anyone considering a dog stroller, I would suggest getting everything you need at a hardware store. A good pair of pliers and a drill is all you need to make and install any of these yourself. *** Please also protect your dog's neck by using a harness when attaching a pup to one of these. ***

Pros
  • Chic design
Cons
  • No vending machine
