Hello everyone! The product works well, you don't have to grind the antenna too much to get a good flat connection. Make sure you don't grind more than you need to or the set screw won't catch much since it's pushing against the bolt and not the base. I also tightened the threaded adapter and he pushed the adapter away. twice, it's just a design feature, hand tighten the new bolt and then maybe use some loctite on it. They come with lock nuts which may work if enough bolts are left on the original base. If you don't have many of the original studs, you may not be able to use the nuts on the posts to hold the adapter stud in place, which is where the Loctite comes into play. In hindsight, I'm not sure if the adapter pin was meant to hit the original antenna pin, so you may not need to finger tighten the adapter pin to make contact with the antenna pin.
