I have tried to turn on and off the light while not using the wrench function. The instructions say to turn on the lamp status, press the button for one second. My lamp does not come on. To turn off the lamp status, press the button for one second again. My lamp does come on when I pull the trigger and goes out in about 10 seconds as the instructions say. My lamp does not go into the off status. It is really no big deal just going through the instruction functions. Would have given five stars overall. I made this purchase to lower and raise my trailer stabilizers. Works fine. Lots of power and raises the stabilizers fast.
