I usually have a lot of experience with Monoprice. 99% of my cables, all TV mounts etc are Monoprice. Unfortunately not this time. I've tried several switches. My Nintendo Switch (pun intended) and retro Pi worked great with this Monoprice Switch. This is my Apple TV 4K which was not working although it worked fine when connected directly to my TV. The Apple forums really recommended this series of switches. He also refused to work with cheap Chinese suppliers. I expected the Monoprice to follow the specs for HDMI enough to play well. It's not like this. This is as much a blow to Apple as it is to Monoprice. I thought about buying an expensive "Audio/Videophile" switch, but the Sony Atmos amp sold for about $75. Bigger than these switches and I broke down and bought it even though I wanted to wait until my financial situation improved. Being financially responsible sucks. Two stars for the build quality, which is significantly better than cheap Chinese manufacturers. However, I will try Monoprice again first.
