This is a really good camera tripod. From a bit of research I've done, carbon fiber tripods are more expensive, but it's better if you can pay a little (or a lot) more. I've never had a tripod before, so this is a new experience for me. The tripod comes with a nice carrying case. It's not heavy, although of course it has some volume. So if you're not used to carrying around a tripod, you need to take that into account. It would be super cool if my camera could also fit in the bag! But only a tripod is suitable. My tripod (probably the case) started smelling like mold, which was unpleasant. I will try to place it outside and see if it will air. The instruction manual - it's in the inside zip pocket - is a joke too. This is not an instruction at all. If, like me, you've never used a tripod before, you might be feeling a bit lost, as I am. I've been playing around with this thing and can't mount the camera securely on the tripod so I'm doing something wrong. The camera, as you can see in one of my photos, is on a tripod but barely turned on. Some instructions on features and how to attach, all of which would be great - for those of us or just me who are feeling really stupid right now as I'm the only reviewer (so far) who said "huh?" I'll know as soon as Once I figure out the features of how to securely mount the camera so it's actually right there and get that musty mildew smell out of the bag I'll hopefully be happy with the tripod, but those things are the reason I don't . I wouldn't rate this tripod any higher, at least for now, until I figure out what's wrong. On the other hand, it comes with a piece in the middle that allows the camera to hang lower for closer shots. It is beautifully built - it appears to be of high quality. Here is a 360 rotation. The legs are straight. The carrying case is a positive. Sabrent: How about REAL instructions? Rather than a tiny little brochure telling you what's inside and what's inside. This is frustrating for us tripod newbies! Once I've got that sorted out, if there's something wrong with mine and I can use the Sabrent with all of its features I'll be back to update my review.
