Children's projects rarely get me that excited. My daughter is already outside the recommended age range of 8 years for this product. However, the suggestion that kids "just assemble cardboard shapes and just wrap, wrap, wrap” is ridiculously wrong. What is left out is the need to use horrible double-sided glue to assemble the frame and add yarn. First you need to measure and cut out 88 cm squares, which is not an easy task for many younger children, and then trace the ears with double-sided glue. Then comes the worst part - trying to remove both sides of the sticky paper, to glue the pieces together and then glue the yarn to the elephant. My husband couldn't remove both sides of the adhesive at all and for me each piece took a few minutes. We had to buy more double sided tape to keep the project from taking hours, especially with 88 tiny squares. After all, I probably worked four times as much as my daughter.
