Rolled very tightly, they are difficult to guide through the kayak and kayak.

This may or may not prevent theft. Looks like I can smash it with a hammer but I won't go there. The biggest problem I have is that it's too tight. It takes too much effort to get it through my kayak and paddleboard and just as much effort to get it back off. Better buy a straight cable and combination lock after facing the trouble of this spiral of destiny.
