Unlike most security cables, the male end of the cable is the same diameter as the cable itself allowing the cable to pass through narrow spaces such as kayak and paddleboard scupper holes. Weatherproof materials. Constructed of marine grade stainless steel and vinyl coated to provide protection against the elements while preventing scratches to the secured item. Note: the locking mechanism is weather resistant - rinse with fresh water when exposed to salt water and periodically lubricate. Easy to use and compact. Key-less convenience - choose your own 4-digit code with the re-settable combination lock. The cable is coiled which allows for easy storage and prevents excess cable from dragging. Rolled very tightly, they are difficult to guide through the kayak and kayak.

This may or may not prevent theft. Looks like I can smash it with a hammer but I won't go there. The biggest problem I have is that it's too tight. It takes too much effort to get it through my kayak and paddleboard and just as much effort to get it back off. Better buy a straight cable and combination lock after facing the trouble of this spiral of destiny.

heart lock. Works better than expected!

I bought this to lock my power seat. I use my chair to get to the bus stop from the third floor of the apartment building. If I can't take a wheelchair with me, I lock it under the bus stop and get in the car and later use a normal wheelchair. Easy to unfold, although a bit heavy for me. it is durable and reliable. My chair cost over $4,000 and I feel the chair is secure with this lock. Good price good product!

Great for bike or kayak

I bought this for my kayak as most bike cables are too short. Works perfectly. Long enough to fit through scupper holes and around a pole, tree or whatever you need to secure. When camping, I leave my kayak tied to the trailer frame or trailer steps. Programmable combination lock so I don't forget the combination and lose the key. Positive and negative - the spools make it compact and neat for storage, but they are a bit stiff and unwind just enough for use. Also long enough to attach two bikes
