If you want a nice glow on the panel, that's fine. I was using this on a battery project for my ham radio gear and the display struck me as odd so I pulled it out and placed it on my desk with the correct power supply and electronic load. In short, voltage accuracy is poor and current accuracy is lacking. Regarding the voltage, I've tried setting the potentiometer to the middle of the range I'm interested in which is 13.2V, but the voltage shown is off by 10-12% per volt anyway. For the current this is just completely wrong and outside of the trimpot adjustment range. A current of 250mA shows 0.2 on the display, but at 1A it shows 0.7A and at 2.0A it shows 1.26A. I tried using an isolated 12V power supply for the device itself and the readings were the same. Nonsense if you want to use this for measurement, and so bad it's not worth using at all. Too bad for me I cut a hole in my faceplate to fit this; I hope I can find something better in the same size or maybe a little bigger.
