I switched to Bilstein because I think the quality of the Monroe shock absorbers and struts has dropped a lot. Despite the high cost, I've never had any quality issues with Bilstein. I strongly recommend using this brand, although I encourage any prospective buyer to exercise due diligence when inspecting a part to ensure that the part received is a legitimate product from the manufacturer. I say this because other parts I have purchased from this site and from auctions have been counterfeits. Bilstein stamps a model number on its products and uses holograms based on some of its number 39 struts and shock absorbers. Warning: counterfeits have no packaging or parts marked as genuine.
