I have been in the art and design industry for over 15 years but this was my first experience of miniature painting. I wanted to add some metallic paint to my minis and saw that this brand has a good reputation. RESULTS: I was not impressed with these colors. The fluidity of the paint is very convenient as it can be used straight from the bottle. The metallic itself has that shiny quality rather than the chrome look that I've had with other paints and markers over the years. It's better than Rustoleum Metallic Spray Paints but I expected more. GENERAL: There are several major myths in miniature painting surrounding miniature paint with smaller pigment particles. Rest assured, if that were true, it would say so on the bottle. Acrylic paints in fine arts have been around longer, are a bigger industry, and have received more investment. You pay for the colors to be smoother, that's all. If you know what you want to do or explore, you can get the same quality for a lot less money, with fully customizable colors, albeit at a fraction of the cost. more effort. Personally, I'm happy to make my own paints for half the cost with good brands of artists' acrylic paints like Liquitex.
