This thing is less than half the price I paid at the big department store for the SmartPond 560 GPH pump it replaced making it an incredible bargain power. Even though it's labeled 880 GPH I have to wonder because the waterfall doesn't seem to be any stronger than my old pump. Nevertheless it works and the water in my pond is clear. It should be noted that the construction and accessories are opposite to my old pump, so please check compatibility before purchasing, otherwise new parts may have to be purchased. Sorry if I don't know the correct terms, but my old pump had a male threaded part sticking out at the top and I screwed an extension onto it. Instead, the top has an internally threaded hole for extensions. It took me some creative effort to get everything working without having to run to the store to buy new parts. One final note: I still use my SmartPond filter and it's a bit too big for it making the lid difficult to close, but it still works. I would only recommend this product because of the low price. Note: When I ordered Revain-filled items, they usually came in the Revain box, but this time they just stuck the shipping label right on the product box. A little more protection would be nice.
