I bought this particular kettle for a number of reasons: 1. Capacity 2. Induction Ready 3. Thermostat 4. Nice copper finish How it works: 1. Capacity: 1.2 liters even for the biggest need But as I rarely need more than 500ml that's a bit much but that's normal 2. Induction Ready: Pass Some kettles are too small at the base for the induction burner to register their presence. This one works perfectly 3. Thermometer: Yes, there is. Is that accurate? Not particularly. Probably +/- 5 degrees F. If you need water at a specific temperature (other than boiling, i.e. 212 degrees Fahrenheit), this may disappoint me 4. Finish: this is where I review the teapot The finish is nice and it would be nice to see it on the display (see picture, very center) and the scratches are visible very well. Use only the softest clean cloth to clean this kettle. I think even a kitchen sponge will leave micro-scratches that will dull the finish over time. And then it's not so nice anymore. I still love the copper color but now I'm torn. Instead of? I don't know but it feels like I'll regret the copper version in a year. To be honest I think if I had bought the black version I would have given this kettle four stars if not five.
