I don't like pastels at all. I've seen some great work by another artist and he used pan pastel. He raved about how beautifully they were applied etc. He wasn't lying. I really love these pastels! I already bought 20 Color Set Painting Pure Colors and I really liked them so I decided to buy these 20 Color Set Tints. God they're so buttery and creamy and they're so easy to apply. The kits come with software tools to get you started. The kit does not include an oval or pointed spatula, just a flat and round one. It also comes with small sponge applicators similar to eyeshadow sponges and a few other sponges that are enough to get you started. They fold up for storage, much like the little plastic containers you store your beads in. I recommend buying the clear palettes they sell separately so you can put them inside. If you want to store them separately you have to buy the extra lids they sell. I also found that the paper I used meant everything! Use Pastelmat if you can. Also check out online tutorials that show you just how much you can do with these pastel colors. You might also find it a little pricey, but they're so heavily pigmented that it takes a VERY LONG time to reach the bottom of the pan. I use these pan pastels with colored pencils and pastels. Overall I love this product and am very happy with the purchase. In my photo I mostly show lighter colors, but you get the point. Tint colors are great for creating skin tones! Amazing product.
