Bought this remote because apparently our original got thrown in the trash the night before "garbage day" and was lost forever. I also bought another (optically identical) remote from an online auction because it was cheaper and I didn't need rush shipping. Both remote controls behave almost the same. That means both will control my system IF you push the buttons hard enough. Sometimes I have to press the center of the button with my thumbnail while swinging the remote in the general direction of the audio/video system before I see the unit respond. It allows me to continue using my system, but it's nowhere near as good as the original remote.
