Some overclocked monster is not working for me. I only have a sleeping body. It's basically a consumer-grade Acer mini-tower with a compact Gigabyte Micro-ATX form factor motherboard, i7-8700 processor, 64GB of DDR4 2666MHz memory, and 2TB of NVMe storage. For graphics I use an Nvidia 2070 Super card. It packs a lot of horsepower into a very small package, so cooling was very important and there just wasn't room for a water or hybrid setup. I finally settled on this cooler based on recommendations from other compact build friends of mine and reading some reviews here. I have to say I'm impressed with the overall performance, package and features available for a sub $20 purchase. The design of the fan itself is awesome. Essentially, you're using a 120mm fan that forces air through a shroud into a heatsink that terminates in a copper pad with your CPU. Due to copper's conductive properties, it is much better than aluminum. The shroud design allows the air not only to compress, but also to enter the CPU faster to remove more and faster hot air. With the physical side benefits, this cooler will make a great addition to even the most humble of aesthetic builds. You can practically just run this fan and it will illuminate the inside of your case great. The included controller is great for a variety of colors to choose from, but also has headers so you can plug in your own RGB controllers or plug them directly into your motherboard. At the moment my graphics card is connected to the motherboard, but I plan to buy a splitter so that the cooler controller can synchronize the lighting between the graphics card and the fan. If you find yourself in a situation where you can't afford water cooling due to cost or in my case space constraints, but still need superior cooling, think no further and get it. I've seen it range from $14 to $20 here. I have already bought two of these and it will be my first choice for air cooling when I need another one.
