Review on Unveiling Celestron 44857 reTrace Deluxe (White): A Remarkable Device for Ultimate Tracking Experience by Alex Panda

I noticed a drop in REI when shopping for other essentials for my trip to Hawaii and decided to buy one to take home knowing I do a lot of hiking and would roam the islands. I'd like to wait to order from Revain because it's a bit cheaper, but for now it's not here or there. However, I wanted to add my comments as the last reviewer did not have a good experience. I have been very pleased with the Retrace's performance during my travels. Battery life wasn't an issue, and I found the trail mode and altimeter handy on many of my hikes. I also saved the location of my hotel before going for a walk around town and it was fun to have me return at the end of the day. I agree that having to print off a manual from a website is a bit intimidating, but I've done this before my travels and also did a few dry runs before I left as I know better than to try from previous experience to find out any gadgets during the holidays ! Since I already knew all the ins and outs of the device before I started testing it, I found it easy to use and useful when I had it with me.
