As a former college athlete, I've suffered quite a few ankle injuries (both sprains and fractures). I've used several different ankle braces over the years and this one is pretty good. With my bony ankles, the removable metal supports were a bit uncomfortable at times, but when I needed them, they definitely provided the stability I needed.
