The last time I replaced the battery in my Toyota 4Runner, the battery I removed had a built in lifting strap. Although the battery was at my chest level, I successfully removed it and used it as a core replacement. The original battery that I bought from a Toyota dealership came without a lifting strap. I was playing Billy Hell trying to get him into the battery compartment without dropping him. When I was a kid, I once put a battery in my dad's tractor and smashed the fuselage, spilling sulfuric acid on my jeans. No fun.
