Review on 51 55 White Genuine Natural Leather by Sasha Hsiao

I bought this to make DIY leather straps for some custom sized joists as an alternative to my failed attempt at molding the metal straps. Love how they work! I prefer the skin-like texture on the bottom, which works best for my application, it's slightly off-white instead of white like the top. I cut and trim the top to make 90° bends. The single-bladed piercer cuts through it quite easily, especially after the "top" layer. The leather punch did the same for the decorative nail holes. These straps were nice and thick and had some flexibility. I caution about the possibility of bleeding or staining from other materials as skin color seems to allow for this, particularly on the uncoated side. I managed to remove the pencil marks, but it wasn't as easy as I expected. Overall very happy with everything for my app.
