Review on Dairy Goat & Sheep Mini Strainer Combo with 300 Filters - Stainless Steel Mason Jar Milk Strainer by Christine Noland

Small, slow, overpriced

I had very high expectations for this item. So far I've used cheesecloth wrapped in a colander to filter raw sheep's milk. I bought this product hoping it would make this process easier, but I'm not sure if it does. The funnel is very small (about the size of a large coffee cup) and after about 1 liter of milk has gone through, the flow becomes so slow that I have to change the filter, which is time consuming and messy. This also means using at least 10 filters daily. The design isn't very tight either, and the milk enters and exits through the threads of the screw part rather than the bottom filter. To make matters worse, I find tiny hair and dirt particles in my milk even after running it through this filter, which means I have to run it a second time. To be honest this product made that part of my milking process slower, more difficult and more frustrating. For the price I expected a lot more.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Communication with seller
