I liked this gadget. I usually hand cut green beans for my dogs, which takes forever. This device cuts green beans at an angle, which isn't quite what I wanted, but it's MUCH faster than doing it by hand. You'll need to put something rubbery under and under a top edge of the unit to keep it from moving when attached to the counter. You'll need a decent bar to screw the knob to the shelf. I can say it cuts green beans fast, and I've been through enough to make it worth it. The only problem is green beans go everywhere! I was surprised at how quickly he crushed her. This is an aluminum body and you can remove the handle and clean the plastic part inside with three blades. You need to strategically place a [bowl DOES NOT WORK] plastic bag on the device and make sure the bag goes down so it hits the bag squarely if you don't want it to end up everywhere. This is the only issue I found that was a bit difficult. I think that's because the blades spin, so things fly apart. Now I understand why someone posted a photo of them pinning a bag. Overall this will make my life easier as I need to be able to chop green beans quickly and hate spending too much time on it each week.
