Review on Enhanced Performance with 🔊 Creality Upgrade Silent Mainboard Customized by Brett Morrison

Updating was easy. This took about an hour, half of which was removing my existing printer mods, OctoPi, camera, etc., marking some cables with a marker, and taking photos along the way, just in case. Much easier than the original printer assembly I would say. I can't believe how much smoother and quieter the steppers are on the new board. I wanted to whisper, but I hear a whisper. The only noise now is the fan. I measured the noise during printing before (48dB) and after (36dB) to confirm my impressions. In addition to the TMC driver update, the new board ships with Marlin 1.1.8, includes thermal protection and a bootloader. for a simple firmware update. I updated the firmware on my previous 1.1.4 board (which might affect the warranty) but I see no reason to mess around with a new one in quite some time. I also bought my printer from Comgrow and have had a great experience with it. Including interacting with the support team during the first two weeks of training, they were always responsive and more than accommodating. Thumbs up!
